TALLer TALES……………...

I see they have lowered the standards. On our last full day in Ireland we visited a family run working farm (more details on that in another installment). One of the family members kept hearing people call me "Monsignor" and was a bit perplexed. At one point he turned to me and asked, "Are you really a Monsignor?" After assuring him I was indeed a monsignor, he quipped, "I see they have lowered the standards. Aren't you supposed to be bald, fat and gray?"

A Stewardship Moment and a Special Thanks: We often talk about stewardship and how we are to utilize our gifts for the benefit of the Kingdom of God. We know that stewardship means we are to give back to God a portion of what he has given us an act of thanksgiving. I'd like to thank a group of four men from the parish who recently dedicated their time and talent with a unique project. They accepted my plea for help to even out some of the brick paver sidewalk near the school. Over the years some of the bricks became uneven and others were affected by enough ground settlement that allowed pools of water to remain long after a heavy rain. So one Saturday John Bogdziewicz, Matt Cebulski, Don Champine and Jim Victor spent the day repairing the sidewalk! Thanks guys for undertaking this project and for sharing your gifts for the benefit of our parish!
